Tame your technology:


Resolve to limit texting to finalizing, or initiating plans/arrangements.  Anything with emotional content is risky in a text, and not recommended.


Make meal-time, restaurant-time and time in the car technology free zones.  Bring a board game to the restaurant.


Listen to music or the radio.  Changing up your routine may improve your mood.


Spend some time outside for a different perspective, and interact with the real, not virtual, world.


Reach out and connect with a person face to face, or through a telephone call. It does require more effort, but it also is a more emotionally satisfying interaction.
